Coastal's commercial dive team was hired by the New York Department of Environmental Protection to perform emergency scour repairs along the center pier of a previously decommissioned railroad bridge. We were  provided with a scour evaluation and scour repair plan done by EIC Group, LLC. The repairs performed by Coastal's ADCI-certified divers and marine construction team included installing a temporary turbidity barrier around the pier, strategically placing grout bags and rebar along the scoured area, and filling the grout bags with approx. 27CY of ready-mix concrete via a topside pump truck. We are also providing post-repair underwater inspection services to verify the integrity of the repair.
