MANASQUAN PUMP STATION
Sediment Removal Services

Coastal Engineering provided sediment removal services at an Intake Pumping Station located in Manasquan, NJ; approximately 1200 CF (1-2’ depth) of sediment had accumulated in the pump station’s intake chambers. Sediment was removed from all concrete chambers using hydraulic pumps. Our commercial divers used confined space surface supplied equipment and dredging pumps to remove all sediment throughout the intakes. Debris removed was then pumped into geotextile sludge dewatering bags, allowed to dry out, and disposed of.

All work is preceded by the development of Activity Hazard Analyses and a Dive Plan and is performed in accordance with our Safe Diving Operations Manual, USACE EM 385-1-1, ADCI, OSHA, and ASDSO standards.
