Coastal's engineer divers located and temporarily plugged the upstream end of the low-level outlet pipe at the Highland Lakes Dam in Highland Lakes, NJ. The pipe was plugged in order to safely make repairs to the downstream gate valve, responsible for controlling the level of the lake. Our engineering team strongly recommended a trash rack be installed to prevent clogging of the pipe and damage to the valve; we designed and installed an appropriate rack in a timely manner, ensuring the repaired valve remained protected.
