Coastal performed the underwater installation of a permanent cap on the low-level outlet pipe in Erskine Lake in Ringwood, NJ. The outlet pipe had been out of service for some time and the butterfly valve that controlled the flow of the pipe was leaking, causing erosion of the fill around the dam and under the adjacent road. Coastal was able to locate the buried upstream end of the outlet pipe and install a bolt-on steel cap, effectively sealing the pipe.
